“On May 10, 2004, my Dad was working as a power lineman when he made contact with live power lines. His injuries resulted in the loss of his left arm, just below his elbow, and his right pointer finger along with many flash-like burns. Over the two years following his accident he had many surgeries, therapy and doctor appointments. My Mom went back to work to provide monetary support and health insurance for myself and my siblings. Our family endured many hardships but we never quit. The word “can’t” is not allowed in my house. I am very thankful for the financial support that Kids’ Chance is providing for me and many other children of injured workers to further their education. I am excited to be attending Middle Tennessee State University beginning in the fall of 2019.”
